Vineyard Notes

A combination of both bush vines and trellised vineyards, the majority of the grapes coming from the Agter Paarl and Swartland regions. The aim in the vineyards is to achieve a balance that will ensure a balanced glass of wine in your hand. These vineyards have a variety of soil: granite, ferecrete, gravel.

About the Wine Maker

Radley & Finch is a range of varietal wines made by Thinus Kruger and Pascal Schildt. Produced with a respect for place and a sense of purpose, these are wines for daily enjoyment. The vast world of wine can often be shrouded in snobbery and pretense, but fortunately Radley & Finch is here to remind us what wine is really all about: good people and good times. This range aims to reflect a light-hearted style of wine staying true to the most enjoyed grape varieties originating in South Africa. The motto: Optimism, beats the pants off pessimism. Radley & Finch is an honest path for wine drinkers, both experienced and novice alike, to delve into the special world of South African wines. Whether it is poolside parties or beach bonfires, Radley & Finch is along for the ride. The grapes are meticulously sourced from sustainable farms near the Voor-Paardeberg Mountain (one hour north of Cape Town), with a smaller portion coming from Stellenbosch.

Tasting Notes

A good example of why Chenin has for a long time been the workhorse and favorite in South Africa but is now starting to be recognized all over for its versatility and brilliantly defined fruit flavors. Balancing white cereal and stone fruit with yellow citrus and hints of lifted spice.
